I like pink pegases and humanized ginea pigs

Ah, finally the wonderful web is once again opening it’s heart to me! It’s been too long. You have no idea how I feel right now, writting these words to you, headphones gracefully placed on my ears. It’s blissful. It’s good to be back.

Now, let’s get into serious things.

I don’t understand why we haven’t talked about Minitel Rose yet?  They belong in the same gang as The Outrunners (LaVoix did a topo on them recently), College and Anoraak. Minitel, as well as the others, are right in this 80ish, retro / future style I particularly cherish lately.

Minitel Rose have a cute – slash- raw style that makes them absolutely adorable. They are from Nantes and Paris and they released their first album The French Machine recently. They also just unleashed a really good Gallery Piece remix (from the band Of Montreal).

Second artist is Pegase a side project of Raphael, member of Minitel Rose. Still in the same vibe, but I think Pegase is a bit more deep, more Sonic Youthish / Joy Divisionish / Alternative inspired. A lot more calm but really really perfect for the cold times and snowy mornings.

Finally, Fear of Tigers is a more upbeat, even more disco-electro kind of band. This one is from UK and reminds me a lot of movies like Better off Dead. They also have the weirdest artwork, which I am not sure how I feel about.

You can follow these cool bands on Valerie a collective of artists (created by College) and the coolest blog on the old continent. I hear they also have the greatest parties.
